Residentbook X

After an extremely long wait I can finally say that it's finished.

In the dark ages, the Residentbook was a bit of software that I someone else had developed. The problem is that too many did the same as me - they used it. This meant that lots of websites around the world had the same software running for their guestbooks. This made it attractive to spammers. They could create one tool and spam all these guestbooks with ease.

Now I've recreated the Residentbook with my own code. All the posts from the old one still exist, and I've modified the look of the pages a bit.

What does this mean for you, a resident? Firstly, automated spammers will should fail. I hardly think that spammers are going to recode
their systems for one lonely website. Hence thanks to laziness, the slightly new Residentbook should have almost zero spam. The second thing is that with all new applications, this version may have a few bugs. You may fill the Residentbook with bug reports, but if they are dangerous in anyway (such as allowing you to do things you shouldn't;) you should
notify the Keot immediately. Don't explicitly try to break things though - I may kill you if you try. (Do death-threats even count if you say the word may?)

I'm sorry it took so long. THe reason I finally put all this effort into recreating the Residentbook is simple. It's one of the best and most popular parts of the whole website, and it's thanks to all of you residents. I personally get quite a bit of enjoyment out of it. Not in that way you sicko.

Anyhow. Thank you and post something in the Residentbook! Something on your moan or rants pages wouldn't go amiss either columnists!
