day seven

I was almost first in to the office today, but it seems that somepeople never sleep.
My supervisor is in a meeting, and for once, all the members of this cubical block have actually turned up for work, which is kind of amazing, but oh well.
I haven't had a slurm so far today, I've fallen in love with hot choccies, so I devouring that instead. Too cold in this office, having air conditioning on 24/7.
You know those clear bugs you can see sometimes floating around your eye? Well, due to the air conditioning, I seem to always have a lot of them. They eventually get so bad, that I have to get out of the office for awhile, before my vision is effected any further.
Gah, in an hour and a bit, I am going to be introduced to the entire Biz Ops IT team, of which there are many. Why do I have to be publically portrayed to everyone? I don't do anything! Well, maybe when people know that I exist, I might have some work to do. At the moment I am loosely researching some stuff while listening to my mp3 collection, surfing slashdot and generally abusing the facilities available to me (read that in a non-perverted frame of mind please, im only downloading stuff excessively and having stapler fights against myself.) I just hope I don't have to say anything myself, if I do get a chance, they may ask a question, and the aura these people already have from the discussions I have had with the people working around me suggest that they are boring, and pointless. So I will be enjoying an hour of listening to somebody talk about something that is pointless and nobody needs to hear. Should be fun. Hehehehe.
Well, that was fun. Went into a big room, with a conference caller machine in the middle, and watched a presentation etc. About halfway through, everyone got so bored, that we put mute on and started laughing occasionally at the americans. Especially the one that spent about five minutes basically saying "the numbers are wrong". Very entertaining indeed. I need a drink now, I doubt I will go for a hot chocolate, due to my tongue being fairly burnt, so I think a nice cold slurm will fall down my gullet very smoothly.
I still haven't had the slurm because I actually had some work to do. In a few minutes I'll think about going home, and brave the delightful WAGN rail system. See you all around 1800hrs.
