day one

Well, after yet another induction course, I am here, sat at my own desk, which a temporary computer. My own supply of stationary, my own choice on monitors (if i can be arsed to fix the bent pins on this other one.) Be right back, I have a sudden urge to highlight something... There, /me sticks a bit of random paper up on the walls of his open plan cubical. Apparently after my two induction courses tomorrow, where i shall be receiving my passwords to use the network more effectively, I will be the proud owner of a new computer, so I can get rid of this temporary one.
Well, I suppose those of you that happen to have school or some other activity at this moment are wondering what I am doing here. Well, all I can say is that I am involved in a fairly large project, and I shall be creating a vital part of it. Only thing is, I'm having to learn a god awful sever language (asp) and I am getting to grips with communicating with an oracle database. This shall be fun indeed.
Had a nice lunch of bbq pizza with some nice baked beans and a rather large bottle of fanta icy lemon. The beans only cost fifteen pence, so I went for it. Not a bad lunch considering it only cost me £1.85... Ooh, ooh! Newsflash! I haven't yet waddled over to the vending machine to get some slurm yet. However I may do so in an hour or so. It is a fairly long walk (approximatly twenty whole meters) to get to the heavenly free vending machine, so I will have to make deal with this air conditioning unit.
This will make Nick angry... NetOps seem to cheat with their network cables; they don't bother buying the right type, they just purchase special convertor boxes. No Nick, I am not stealing one for you.
Hmmm, I'm back again. The highlighter tried to attack me, so I've put it away, in a locked drawer so it cannot attack me no longer.
The main problem I have here, is my knowledge. It isn't seriously consistant. And now I'm having a rather bizarre state of deja-vu. Must be the slurm.
Hmmm... I'm on my sixth cup of slurm now, the luminous green drink. It very tasty. /me waddles off to the vending machine again to tap in 60 then press normal. Actually, next time I'll see if the machine will do me an extra strong slurm. Should be an interesting drink.
Okay, now I'm reading slashdot and trying not to giggle too loudly. Hehe...
That was a fairly quick Alt+F4...
