day three

Yay, after a bit of a struggle, I finally have irc working at work. Not that I am doing much work at the moment, as I haven't been given any. Still waiting for my manager to turn up, so I can have a meeting with him.
Well, I've just had the meeting, so at least I now have a direction. However, I still need to gain some knowledge about all the systems I will be using. So until the end of the week I will be merely learning. Which is what I would be doing at school... Oh well.
Hehe, just downloaded a 20mb file in 16secs. This is far too fast. I have no time to twiddle my thumbs and laugh at random people walking through the office.
Okay, now I'm set on my miniture project, and I have only twenty minutes until lunch. Let's just hope I don't go for pizza again.
Now let's do some experimenting...
Hmmm... Okay lunch again, and yes I did go for pizza again I'm afraid. I finally got my first piece of ASP working, which although it doesn't do much, it means I've finally got my foot in the door of knowing the language, so therefore I will now start on my mini project.
Well, I've done enough little mini projects to introduce me to the language I am currently scripting in, so I am happy. It only has one small error, but it doesn't effect the application in anyway that would result in it not working.
Oh well, only twenty minutes to go and then I may escape. Well, I would stay here, but I plan my days, and now mine is done and complete, so I have nothing else to do until I start again tomorrow.
I hope I don't get stuck on the trains again. That was awful yesterday. To sum it up, it took me sixty minutes to do a journey which normally takes eight. There was some excuse whispered over the tannoy, but alas, the people in my carrage were too noisy for me to hear it.
I better post this now, or I will have left before I had a chance to post it... See you all In about an hour, hopefully less.
