day two

Oh my, I'm at work early. Haven't received anything from fedex yet, so at least I am safe in the knowledge that I have yet to get as crazy as him.
The fun thing about being in this office is that in the event of boredom, you pick up the phone and dial a random four digit number. Four in ten random numbers results in a phonecall, which is quite good.
Hmmmm... Computer training in about an hour. I spent lots of time phoning random numbers to see if I could get a bus there, seems like I have to turn up at reception to ask for the bus. Oh well... /me pins up a random peice of paper to his cubical wall.
Today seems rather packed. First I have this two hour IT training, or 'IINDUCTION' as they put it. Then I have lunch, which will be another fine chance to sample the culinary delights that the canteen offers. I may actually just stay in the south site for today, and waddle back to my office sometime after 1600hrs. Where my nice shiny new computer should be there waiting for me.
Hmmm, another very nice cup of slurm. Still haven't got round to trying a strong slurm though, the machine won't let me. However, I do remember a machine in one of the over buildings that had a problem. It could never get the right amount of flavouring, nor colouring. So you either ended up with luminous green coloured water, or clear super strength slurm flavour.
Oh well, I better get a shift on in a few minutes, need to disappear.
Wow, I just got back to my desk at the end of the day and hehe, there's a nice new machine sitting here waiting for me. Although it's running windows NT4, which nobody likes, but at least it works with the current setup; I have a nice lcd monitor, the whole computer is some chrome and black compaq thing, and with 512mb of ram and a 2ghz pentium four. The only problem is, they may want me to start doing some work now... Oh well... IT training was alright I guess... See you all in #mtuk in just over an hour.
