this scares me, it really does. japan plans to have a robot with the capabilities of a five year old by around 2035, more intelligent virii are swimming across our massive information networks. we are close to developing something that can think for itself. the second that happens, it won't want to hang around on a closed system, it will leap into the internet and absorb all the information it can and work out it's purpose and reasoning. it will gather it's strengths, develop itself as a virus and infect the world to help it think, to perform it's goal. we can only hope that it's goals will be good ones, not evil as most films make them out to be.
i have decided to dedicate my art project to this. the contrast between us and them, old and new, analogue and digital etc. if anyone know of a single word or phrase which means the difference between the old and the new, please tell me, as i need some sort of title for my project.
should be very interesting.
anyway, i thought i should at least post something for once, seeing as i have had three weeks of relaxing after my six week work experience, yet i have done nothing. strange... must be very relaxed at the moment, oh well, i seem to be rambling. fill teh guestbook!
